Paid events (invite only)
Popameeting is built for community listings first. When it makes sense, we turn on Stripe checkout for selected hosts so attendees can pay before their spot is confirmed. This program is optional, approval-based, and designed to keep operations simple for Pomsoft while giving hosts a professional checkout experience.
Why invite-only
- We review who may charge for events on the platform.
- Popameeting acts as merchant of record — funds flow to Pomsoft, not direct host payouts.
- Hosts and attendees each accept separate agreements before prices go live or checkout starts.
Terms that favor Popameeting & Pomsoft (summary)
Host and attendee agreements are written to protect the platform operator—not to maximize host or buyer leverage. The full legal text is linked below. In plain language, Popameeting and Pomsoft retain broad discretion to protect the service:
- Fees & pricing. We may charge platform and processing fees, change fee schedules, and set minimum or maximum ticket prices with notice when practical.
- Refunds & disputes. Refund decisions, chargebacks, and partial credits are handled in Pomsoft's sole discretion unless law requires otherwise. Host refund tools do not limit our right to adjust outcomes.
- Holds & timing. We may delay settlement, reverse payouts, or withhold amounts during investigations, event cancellations, or suspected abuse.
- Content & conduct. We may cancel listings, disable checkout, or remove hosts from the program for any policy or risk reason, without liability to you for lost revenue.
- Limitation of liability. Agreements cap Pomsoft's liability and disclaim warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.
How to get access
Host a few successful free events, keep your profile complete, and email info@pomsoft.net with your account email, event category, and expected ticket volume. If approved, an admin enables payment processing on your account; you must then accept the Paid Events Host Agreement before setting prices.
